Faculty Spotlight: Mrs. Hatch

Ms. Hatch graduated from Skyline High School in Salt Lake. She then earned her Bachelor degree English from SUU and her Masters of Education also from SUU. She now teaches ninth grade English and Yearbook. Her favorite treat is peanut M&M’s. Her toothbrush is purple. The last song she listened to was Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd. Her shoe size is 6 ½. In 6th grade she didn’t have a backpack because school backpacks weren’t invented yet. Her favorite Disney princess is Belle because she likes to read. We love having Ms.

Faculty Spotlight: Mr. Schaffer

Coach Schaffer graduated from Schoharie High School in New York. He then earned his Bachelor degree in Physical Education from BYU. He Teaches PE and weight training and he is also our school’s boys basketball head coach. His favorite candy is Reeses. If he could go back in time he would choose to go to the 90s “when the NBA wasn't soft. His Toothbrush is white… lame. His celebrity crush is Natalie Portman. Best fashion choice he ever had was frosted tips. His favorite sport is Golf. We appreciate all Coach Schaffer does for our school!

Mr. Anderson graduated from Weber High in North Ogden, Utah. He then earned his Bachelor degree in Art Education from BYU and a Masters degree  in Curriculum development and instruction from University of Phoenix is the art teacher here at MJHS, he teaches drawing, photography, painting, sculpture, art history, and art foundations. His favorite treat is cool ranch doritos. His favorite Disney Princess is Vanellope von Schweetz.The last song he listened to was “The way I am''- by Ingrid Michaelson. His favorite vacation is anywhere with family.

Faculty Spotlight: Ms. Carter

Ms. Carter graduated from Springville High School - Home of the MIGHTY Red Devils. She also has an official license from Von Curtis Academy for cosmetology. Super cool!! She is now our amazing attendance secretary. Her favorite treat is snickers. The last song she listened to was Levitating by Dua Lipa. If she could go back in time, when would she go?

Faculty Spotlight: Ms. Hunsaker

Ms. Hunsaker graduated from Lehi High School. She then earned her Bachelor degree in Theater, English Literature at SUU. She has also earned a Master’s degree in directing theater from U of U. She now teaches 8th grade English and also teaches cake decorating. Her favorite treat is salt and vinegar chips. We asked her if she could travel back in time where she would go, she said she would go back to when queen elizabeth was still queen and she said Shakespeare would be her bestie.

MMHS Chamber Orchestra Auditions

The Chamber Orchestra is the most advanced strings ensemble at Maple Mountain High School.  You MUST audition, and there are only 30 or so students who are chosen each year.  If you are interested in auditioning for the 2022-2023 school year, there will be a Parent Meeting held at Maple Mountain High School on Monday, April 18th, at 7 pm in the Choir Room.
