This week, Mrs. Shumway's Body Conditioning class had the opportunity to attend a Jazzercise class in Spanish Fork. They were put to work with an entire body workout! The students left sweaty, muscles shaking, and a new appreciation for an older style of physical activity. Want to thank @jazzercise.spanish.fork for letting us come to their beautiful studio and teaching the class for us.
In October before the cold hit, Mrs. Shumway's 9th grade Girls P.E. class was able to go to Timpanogos Golf Course and participate in a day of Golfing. The students were able to learn the basics of Range Hitting and Putting. They also learned how golf is a Lifetime activity and such a fun way to stay active as they get older. Great job ladies!
The MJHS MathTeam and Mr. Peterson’s Sec. Math 2 Honors class competed in the annual AMC 10 competition on November 10th. MJHS had 37 competitors for the 75 minute, 25 question contest. Kudos to all the participants. Next up for the MathTeam is the Nebo District Math Competition, scheduled for early December, where MJHS will attempt to defend last year’s title. GO MUSTANG MATHLETES!
School Community Council will be held on 11/8/22 at 3:00 PM.
The 8th graders in Ms. Hammari’s science class have been learning about kinetic and potential energy this term. They explored different variables and the transfer of energy by building zip lines and roller coasters.
