Sage Mortimer had the opportunity to represent the United States at the Pan-American Wrestling Championships in Medellin, Colombia. She took 1st place earning a GOLD medal for team USA! She is one of the youngest girls in the US to compete at an international wrestling tournament. Craig Lamont, head coach of MJHS wrestling team, traveled to Colombia to coach her. There were thirteen countries represented there. Team USA took 3rd place overall with only seven girls competing, winning 2 Golds, 3 Bronze and 2 5th place. It was an amazing experience.
