Mountain Man Visits Utah Studies

Submitted by andrea.pond on

Today was an awesome day for Mrs. Rowley's Utah Studies Class. Thomas Johnson came to speak about Mountain Men and brought so much of his amazing gear to show the class. We learned so much about the Mountain Man lifestyle and how they used to survive in the mountains. We even learned about the different types of trees and the ways they were used for medicinal purposes. Tom did a great job and is extremely talented. He has made most of the gear himself and enjoys exploring the outdoors and putting all his Mountain Man gear to good use!

Mock Trial - US History

Submitted by andrea.pond on

Mrs. Rowley's and Mr. Nalette's Classes had so much fun preparing for and performing a Mock Trial. The students worked so hard to memorize their witness statements, become the prosecuting or defending lawyers, hand down a sentence as a judge, keep order in the court as a bailiff, keep accurate records of the proceedings as the court reporter, or even sketch the happenings of the trial as a courtroom artist! They all did an amazing job and really had fun learning about how a courtroom works! US History is the best!
