The captains for fall sports at our school were able to participate in Captains Academy this week.  They met with other students from the schools in our district to discuss leadership and sportsmanship.

Kyle Francom from Payson High School presented on qualities of a leader.  Wendi Nelson from Springville High School talked about sportsmanship.

The final presenter was former NFL and BYU tight end Chad Lewis who stressed the importance of being yourself, loving your parents, and being a good example.

Mustang Musings

Mrs. Rowley’s US History classes have been learning about early Native American tribes across the United States. At the end of the unit, they learned the importance of fry bread to many different Native tribes.

We were able to combine with Miss Goodfellow’s foods classes to make fry bread! Not only was it amazing to learn about the history of fry bread but it was so much fun to make and then of course eat!
