Spirit of the Mustang - December

Melissa is not only a wonderful caring teacher; she is a fun and caring coworker. She is a supportive department member on both a professional and personal level. Melissa is always willing to share ideas and collaborate with other teachers. But even more meaningful than that, Melissa celebrates others’ successes. Her genuine caring makes the English department stronger and those around her feel welcome and loved- an important element in any new teacher’s career. I personally have truly appreciated Melissa’s support on both personal and professional fronts.

Plus, we all know that Melissa is working hard on accreditation. Without all of her work, one of us would have to do it. I kid. But Melissa is doing a wonderful job compiling all of the data we need for accreditation. Thank you.

Melissa is kind, intelligent, thoughtful, and fun. She is an example to me of what a teacher should be. For these reasons, Melissa, I am awarding you the Spirit of the Mustang.
