The 2012-2013 Mapleton Junior High Golf Team enjoyed a very successful season. Our team consisted of eight players this season, Hanslee Peay, Tanner Edmonds, Ty Ericksson, Cole Porter, Dylan Carter, Colin McCausland, Travis Farley, and Jake Sommer. The season began soon after the start of school and the team got off to a slow start. In our first two tournaments of the season at Gladstan on September 10th and Spanish Oaks on September 17th we took second place in each respectively. In our third tournament at Hobble Creek Golf Course we beat out the six other teams in the district to win our first tournament for the season. The team followed that win up with two more tournament wins. In the Nebo District Final Tournament that took place On October 16th the team posted a final score of 270 and won by seven shots. Tanner Edmonds, Ty Ericksson, and Travis Farley all tied for Third Medalist in the District Finals. This is the fourth year in a row that the MJHS Mustang Golf Team has been the District Champions. Overall this season proved to be very fun, exciting, and successful.
