Cross Country Season

Submitted by devin.jackman on

Both the boy and girls cross country had a fantastic season. At our district championships last weekend the girls Varsity and JV teams both took 1st place. This is the second undefeated, back to back district championship win for the girls. The boys took 2nd place by a razor thin 3 point margin behind Mt. Nebo. Some runners improved their personal best by a full minute on this final meet. Good job Cross Country for racing classy all season and representing our school and community very well.

Mrs. Clement Receives "Spirit of the Mustang"

Submitted by nate.whitney on

Congratulations to Becky Clement on receiving the “Spirit of the Mustang” award for her outstanding service to the students of MJHS. This is what Mrs. Carey, her nominator had to say about Mrs. Clement.

Becky has the one of the biggest hearts of anyone I know.  No matter how crazy her day is she always has a smile on her face.  You can often hear her ask others how they are doing or how their day is going.   If I need help covering a class, she is always there.

Fall Band Concert a Resounding Success

Submitted by nate.whitney on

Our three fantastic MJHS Bands held their Fall Concert on Thursday, October 12th. The concert began with the Jazz Band students getting started with some up-beat fun music, The Cadet Band followed with a number that included some interesting percussion instruments that gave the piece a “spooky” feeling. The Symphonic Band closed the concert with a couple of Halloween numbers that caught everyone’s attention and had the audience vigorously applauding. Students performed while wearing their favorite Halloween costumes.
