The upcoming 2015-2016 student government went to CLAS Ropes Course in June. We had such a great time learning about teamwork, believing in yourself and others. It was a great way to get to know each other and start to plan for the upcoming school year! We have a great group that will represent our school well!
Emily Susan Westercamp was chosen as this week's Student of the Week. She is a seventh grader at Mapleton Jr. High School.
Westercamp has been a member of Turning Point Dance for the past eight years and part of the group's Competition Team for the past two years. She loves to play the piano and has taken lessons for the past five years.
Westercamp also loves to sing and is a member of the Utah Valley Children's Choir. The choir goes on tour every summer -- last year the group visited Missouri, Illinois, Ohio and New York. This summer the choir will go to Canada.
Yesterday was our talent show that showcased just some of our talented students at MJHS. Those that participated did such a good job! Way to go Mustangs!
Last week the Spring Choir Concert was held at MJHS. Mrs. Thomson and the students worked hard all term to put on a fantastic concert!
Help raise money for Mapleton Jr. High, Tuesday May 26th 5-9 pm at the Spanish Fork location. MJHS will receive a donation equal to 20% off your order.
This year’s yearbook will feature one MJHS student’s photography prowess. Early in the year the yearbook staff and photography class (taught by Mr. Anderson) joined forces to find a picture for the cover of the yearbook. Many students submitted great photos, but Courtney Robison’s was chosen.
What a successful night celebrating our 9th Grade class. The students enjoyed food, fun and activities! We will miss this class next year!
