The 7th graders that are currently in Utah Studies had the opportunity to go to This is the Place State Park. We had such a great time learning about the history of Utah. We learned about the Navajo Hogans, the life of a mountain man, how to pull a handcart, the business of saddle making, black smithing, and how a school was run in the 1800's. The students realized that they really have it easy in this day and age since the teachers don't make them wear dunce caps and make them stand against the walls. We had a great time and it was an awesome learning experience. We will repeat it again in 2nd semester with a new batch of 7th graders!
