2017 Veterans Day Assembly

Submitted by devin.jackman on

“They, and we, are the legacies of an unbroken chain of men and women who served their country with honor, who waged war so that we might know peace, who braved hardship so that we might know opportunity, who paid the ultimate price so that we might know freedom.”
-President Barack Obama 2009

We thank and honor our veterans today and always. Here are some moments from our Veterans Day assembly today. Thank you everyone who made this assembly happen. It was a truly memorable experience for everyone who attended and participated.

Jason Cragun and Crew Give MJHS New Tree Rings

Submitted by devin.jackman on

Jason Cragun and Scout Troop 1461 finished their project last Tuesday. They had a great turnout and had about 60 current, former, and future Mustangs show up to help out, as well as some parents. They put in about 6 cubic yards of mulch and removed about 10 cubic yards of sod and dirt from around the trees. They put weed fabric and mulch around 29 trees and the MJHS welcome sign. The estimated total hours of labor involved are close to 150.

Thank you for all of the hard work that went into giving our school a real face lift. It looks amazing!

Cross Country Season

Submitted by devin.jackman on

Both the boy and girls cross country had a fantastic season. At our district championships last weekend the girls Varsity and JV teams both took 1st place. This is the second undefeated, back to back district championship win for the girls. The boys took 2nd place by a razor thin 3 point margin behind Mt. Nebo. Some runners improved their personal best by a full minute on this final meet. Good job Cross Country for racing classy all season and representing our school and community very well.
