Faculty Spotlight: Mr. Nelson

Mr. Nelson graduated from Spanish Fork High School. He then received his Bachelors in Exercise Science and a minor in Biology, both were from UVU. He is currently getting his Masters Degree  in School Counseling. He is now teaching 8th and 9th grade science here at MJHS. One of his favorite treats is a Peanut M&Ms. The last song he listened to is “We don’t talk about Bruno.” The style he wishes would never come back are mullets but says he thinks that they are already back. His favorite brand is Nike.

Faculty Spotlight: Ms. Hammari

Ms. Hammari graduated from Johansen High school and then got her Bachelor degree in Elementary Education from BYU and Masters degree in Education from SUU. She is currently teaching science. One of her favorite treats is a twix. She wears a size 2 ½ in shoes. Her celebrity crush is Daniel Lissing. Her favorite vacation would be to be somewhere in the mountains. Her favorite TV show is The Rookie and her favorite cookie flavor is a snickerdoodle. We love having Ms. Hammari here!

Mr. Gillies graduated from He is now teaching Business and Computer classes here at MJHS. He also is a technology specialist and helps us keep everything technology related running smoothly. One of his favorite treats is Peanut M&M’s. He wears a size 11 shoe. The style he wishes would come back is anything from the Hippie Generation. He didn’t have a backpack in the 70’s, he would just use his locker. His favorite brand is Amazon, he says that online shopping is the best. His favorite vacation is anywhere with his wife and sons.

Diane Cooper graduated from Orem High School. She has her ADN from UVU and she has been a nurse for 29 years! One of her favorite treats is peanut M&M’s. Her toothbrush is pink. Her shoe size is an 8. Her favorite Disney Princess is Cinderella. Her favorite cookie is a snickerdoodle and her favorite sport to play is Pickleball.

Want to get some CASH??

Starting on the week of March 1st we will be randomly selecting 3 names from each grade at the end of the week to receive 5 dollars! If your name is called and you have only C's, B's or A's you will receive a nice crisp 5 dollar bill! We will continue this for 3 weeks!

Make sure to have your grades caught up so you can have a chance to earn $5!! Remember there are only 11 school days left this term! 

 

 

Boys Tennis Tryouts

Attention anyone interested in trying out for MJHS boys tennis!  There will be a short 10 minute information meeting on Thursday, March 3rd right after school in Mr. Johnson's room - 210.  We will be passing out all of the important information about the upcoming season.  The tryouts for the team will be the following week on March 8th, 10th, and 11th.  Both 8th and 9th graders may try out!  Hope to see you all there!

Mr. Mohler graduated from Spanish Fork High School. He then went to UVU and got his Bachelor’s degree in History Education. He then earned a Master’s degree in Education Administration from SUU. He now teaches AP Human Geography and World Studies to 9th graders. One of his favorite treats other than Built bars or BBQ chips.

Mr. Southworth graduated from Lehi High School. He then got his Bachelor's degree in Science Education from UVU and a Master's degree in Science Education from WGU. He also has a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from WGU. He is now an 8th and 9th grade science teacher. One of his favorite treats is a Reese’s. The style he wishes would never come back is JNCO pants. If you don’t know what these are, you should look them up!
