Dear Students and Parents,

MJHS Virtual Talent Show

Singing, dancing, martial arts, uni-cycling, baking, stand-up comedy, extreme sports, etc.! We want to see your talents and we are offering prizes for the top acts! Here's how you can participate: Send a one and a half minute video (or shorter) of your talent to Mrs. Mohler: jessica.mohler [at] nebo.edu (jessica[dot]mohler[at]nebo[dot]edu) with your name and grade by Friday, May 8th. The compiled talent show will be sent out to everyone the following week. Please note that videos that are longer than 1.5 min. may be cut down for time.

Academic Progress - TAKE ACTION NOW if Needed!

Once again we want to remind everyone to finish strong… We have been so impressed with the level of engagement and progress we have had so far with “at home learning”. Keep up the great work! Please be aware that those students that don’t have a passing grade right now in one or more classes (have an I grade) need to immediately contact their teacher by email. They need to simply ask - “what do I need to do to pass” and then be willing to respond and work with the teacher. Teachers want every student to be successful and are committed to respond and work with ALL students to make sure they can pass their classes!  If this applies to you or your student, please know that teachers will work out a plan to get you to pass and get credit for this term! We are so grateful for the positive support you have all given us over the past month plus. We live in an amazing community and we are so grateful for your support.

Yearbook Purchase

Yearbooks for this unique year have not been canceled, however, after speaking with our publisher, it looks like the printing of our yearbooks has been delayed due to Coronavirus. Because of this we are planning a “drive through” yearbook distribution as soon as they come in (likely in June). If you haven't yet purchased a yearbook, but would like to do so, we still have some extra copies available and you can order one by calling Mrs. Carey in the financial office and paying through a credit card transaction - 801-489-2892 ext. 3.

Social-Emotional

We are also very concerned about the social and emotional health of our students at this time. Our counseling department is working hard to meet with students via phone calls or video conferencing. If you would like to meet with a counselor please reach out directly by email or phone - 7th grade Eric Baum, 8th Grade Kirsten Hullinger, 9th Grade Dave Murphy, Responsive Services, Kate Henderson, School Psychologist, Amanda Bushman.
