Mustang Message 2/3/20
Dear Students and Parents,
Turn In Art Pieces NOW for Annual PTO Art Show
If you haven't already turned in your artwork, do it today! Remember - your entries are due by February 5th in the front office and will be on display until the show is judged on February 20th. This is the chance for you to display your artwork for all to see and have a chance to win cash prizes. You can enter the show with artwork in the following categories: Drawing, Painting, Photography, Sewing, 3-D Sculpture, and Woodworking. You can enter the show by simply bringing your art piece to the MAIN OFFICE. Things to remember: Students will be allowed 2 entries per category. Feel free to enter multiple categories, but please select your best 2 pieces in each category. All flat paper entries (like drawings, paintings not on canvas, and photographs) need to be mounted on BLACK cardstock. Please do not submit any framed pieces. Thank you for your participation! -MJHS PTO
Student Drop-off and Pick-up Safety Concerns
Because of ongoing safety concerns and some recent “close calls” as students exit cars and walk through traffic, we remind parents to please use caution in our drive through lane and parking lots and remember to yield to students in the crosswalks. The drop-off/pick-up zones are designed to facilitate a circular traffic pattern with all traffic exiting through the east exit onto 400 E. When followed, this pattern makes our schools drop-off/pick-up zones much safer. Your help with this important safety issue is appreciated.
Please Note B-Ball Game Date Changes
Due to the snow day on Monday - The B-Ball District Championship Tournament has been rescheduled for a Wednesday Quarter-final, Thursday Semi-final, and Championship game on Friday. These changes have been made below in the up-coming events section of this email.
Stakeholder Survey from Nebo District
As you may remember from last year, Nebo district annually sends out a stakeholder survey to parents and students. The planned distribution date is February 1, 2020, and the surveys will be open until February 28, 2020. Your participation and honest feedback is helpful and appreciated. Thanks in advance for your participation!
Anyone who is planning to try out for the Springville High School softball team this year MUST attend a mandatory tryout meeting on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at 5:15 pm in the SHS Cafeteria. At least one parent should attend as well. Information will be given about tryouts and the upcoming season. If you have any questions please contact Jill Thackeray (email@example.com).
