Dear Students and Parents,

Mid-Term and Student Led Conferences

Mid-Term is this Friday, November 30th - Students, let’s make sure that all work is turned in and any deficient grades are raised. Student Led Conferences will be held on Thursday, December 6th from 3:30 – 8:00 p.m. All parents and students are encouraged to attend to review learning progress and goals.

MJHS Annual Charitable Fundraiser

Giving is not just about making a donation, it’s about making a difference. Our fundraiser started today and goes through December 7th. Fundraiser proceeds will go to a student at our school battling cancer, Sub for Santa and Blankets for the hospital. Every day throughout the fundraiser we will randomly draw students who have donated at least $5 to get prizes!! The top 3 classes that received the most donations get a party!!  If each person donates $3 we can reach our goal of $3000. Please take your donations to your second period teacher. This year you can be the change in someone’s life by donating a few dollars! FUN FACT: Our awesome Mapleton City Police Department is supporting the MJHS fundraiser and will offer an opportunity for all community members to contribute through Mapleton PD - They have extended a friendly challenge to our students to see if they can raise more money than students towards this awesome cause. Students are encouraged to donate through the school and community members can donate through Mapleton PD - See Mapleton PD Facebook page for more details that will be posted soon.

HOPE Squad - Project Teddy Bear

MJHS HOPE Squad is combining with the Bank of American Fork,  in Spanish Fork, by collecting new stuffed animals from now until Dec 13, 2018. Please consider donating new stuffed animals at MJHS in the front office. We can only take new stuffed animals because of health codes, but we hope you’ll help us to collect enough new stuffed animals to help at-risk Utah children. Project Teddy Bear is a community service project benefitting Utah children and sponsored by Bank of American Fork. Customers, employees and community members donate teddy bears and other stuffed animals that are given to the Utah Valley Family Support & Treatment Center in Orem, Salt Lake Valley Family Support Center (locations in Midvale, Taylorsville, West Valley City and Sugarhouse), Family Connection Center (in Layton/Clearfield and Bountiful) and other crisis and service centers. This is the 5th year that MJHS HOPE Squad has been a part of this program and we would greatly appreciate any support that you can give!
