Parents, Students and Friends -
Need for Substitute Teachers
Parents: If you are willing to help us, we do have a real need for substitute teachers. So far this year, we have had many sub requests go unfilled. We are asking for local patrons of MJHS to help fill in. So that you are aware, subs are able to choose the location(s) where they are willing to sub - meaning if you only want to sub for MJHS you can. You are also able to choose your days of availability, with no minimum commitment per month. If you are willing to apply to be a substitute teacher, please visit the Utah Kelly Educational Staffing webpage at http://www.kesutah.appone.com or call our awesome secretary, Theresa Carey here at MJHS to get more information about helping us out as a substitute teacher.
Math Lab
Students - do you need Math help or just a quiet place to complete homework? Beginning tomorrow, Oct 3rd and continuing every Tuesday and Thursday in room 110 from 2:45 - 3:45 p.m. we will be holding an open to all students, Math/Homework Lab. A math teacher will be in the lab to help as needed. There is no cost, simply stop by to get help!
All Students Are Invited to Join MJHS Intramurals
We are excited to announce Flag Football Intramurals at MJHS! Participation is open to all students, boys and girls, and all grades free of charge. Games will be played Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:45-3:45, weather permitting, on the fields behind the school. We will be playing for the next 3 weeks until October 17. Students can bring a team of their own or come alone and we will put them on a team. If you have any questions please contact Mr. Baum or Mr. Murphy.
Fight the New Drug Parent Meeting
You are invited to attend one of the Fight the New Drug parent meetings listed below. At the parent meetings, FTND will present all the information which will be given at the school assemblies, as well as additional information on how the pornography industry is targeting children and teens, and what parents can do to better protect themselves and their families. Attending the assemblies/parent presentations will also give you access to the online “Fortify” Fight the New Drug pornography addiction recovery program.
