Mapleton Girls Basketball team had a year to remember. It was one of ups and downs with the year ending on a high note with a win over Mountain ridge in overtime. Ellie Ashman made a shot with no time left on the clock to send the game into overtime where the mustangs took over and sealed the victory. The season had its share of injuries from a sprained wrist as well as a concussion from winter tubing accidents. They also dealt with the flu that hampered some practices and games. The Girls showed a lot of character and continued to battle through the season. They gave the district champions (Salem Hills) their only two losses of the season and made great improvements throughout the season. A big thanks goes out to the Administration, teacher, and parents for their support and letting us coach a great group of girls.
