The State Make It With Wool contest was held at Mapleton Junior High on Saturday, December 6, 2014.  Students selected patterns and wool earlier in the school year and then made beautiful wool outfits to wear.  They were judged on appearance, marketability, and sewing construction. We had 5 students participate from Mapleton Junior High that have been enrolled in the Clothing 1 class this fall.  Emily Ells, Kylee Schramm,Janna Miller, and Camille Wirthlin participated in the Junior Division for students who are 13-16 years of age.  Shanelle McClellan participated in the Made for Others category and made Mrs. Groneman a beautiful wool dress.Camille Wirthlin took 1st place honors and will be participating in the National contest in January. She also won a sewing machine and other prizes. The other students all received a beautiful piece of wool and some pins.It was a great evening to enjoy a nice fashion show and see their accomplishments.Congratulations!
