New Updated Information:

Governor Herbert has Extended Utah's Soft Closure through the end of this school year. A letter from the Nebo School District will be coming shortly to explain what this will mean for our students.

Mustang Message 4/13/20

Dear Students and Parents,

Welcome back to school... well, “at home learning” anyway. I am so proud of all the efforts students are making to stay caught up in their classes and continuing to work so hard in these unusual circumstances. Teachers are working hard too, keeping content coming to you and staying in touch with students to answer questions. I truly hope everyone had a good Spring Break with some time away from school work, getting a mental break with some rest and rejuvenation (or at least some yard work done;)

Grading Options for 4th Term

During this time of uncertainty, we recognize the hard work of both teachers and students. In an effort to minimize the anxiety and stress felt by teachers, students, and parents, we are allowing students a choice regarding how their final grade in each class will be recorded on their transcript for 4th term. At the end of the term, a teacher will submit a letter grade for the class. After the grade is submitted by the teacher, the student can choose to keep the standard grade given or move to a pass/fail grade.

 - Please note that the standard grades of A through D- can be changed to a “P” grade. An F grade cannot be changed.

 - A “P” grade will count for academic credit and will not affect GPA. (Please note that a “P” grade may affect eligibility for NCAA, Regents, or possibly other programs.)

Stay Safe and Stay Home

Governor Herbert’s Stay Safe, Stay Home directive is still in place. We are asking parents and students to limit your visits to the school to necessary business only - for all other questions or concerns a phone call is prefered (801-489-2892). Teachers are willing, ready and available through email. Additionally, an appointment to speak with a teacher by phone or through a face to face online application may also be arranged through email. Remember - the key is to communicate your needs with the teacher which should happen mainly through email. All teacher emails can be found on our school website - here is the link: http://mjhs.nebo.edu/faculty  Teachers have committed to respond within 24 hours of receiving an email. The school building and the front office will remain open everyday M-F from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Yearbook and other Financial Information

If you have paid for a field trip or other extra curricular event or activity that didn’t happen as planned, refunds will be issued in May. The reason for waiting is that if we are able to return to school after May 1st as is currently planned, some of these events may be rescheduled and will happen then. Please be aware that the yearbook is NOT canceled and will be distributed at the end of the year. If you would still like to purchase a yearbook we will have some extra copies available and you can order one by calling Mrs. Carey in the financial office and paying through a credit card transaction.
