3/17/20 - Latest Update - PLEASE READ THIS CONTENT CLOSELY!

Parents and Students,
I wanted to sincerely thank all of you who completed the survey we sent yesterday. Almost 500 of you responded in under 24 hours. This is amazing! If you haven’t yet completed this survey - PLEASE DO SO NOW to help us plan logistics.  https://forms.gle/MnoKd4q3K6tyUQEq9  We have been able to use this data to make many important decisions and get things up and going quickly. I also wanted to thank you for all the overwhelmingly positive feedback. It’s very comforting to know we have your support. Thanks!

Chromebook Distribution
Our staff has been working very hard and will be ready to start online learning by tomorrow Morning. We will also be ready for Chromebook distribution tomorrow. Because of the large response of those needing Chromebooks we will stagger the pick-up times to try and limit group sizes throughout the day. We want to reduce the number of people here at the school at the same time. Please follow the alphabetical by last name system outlined below:

Wednesday, March 18th
8:00 -     9:00    A-B
9:00 -     10:00    C-D
10:00 -    11:00    E-G
11:00 -    12:00    H-J
12:00 -  1:00    K-M
1:00  -     2:00    N-R
2:00  -     3:00    S-T
3:00  -     4:00    U-Z

In order to access all classes students will need to login to Canvas. https://canvas.nebo.edu/  Use your student email and password to enter your canvas classroom. Students won’t be able to login unless they have opened their student email account first.

School Meals
Students may get a school meal at ANY Nebo District school. Remember breakfast will be served from 8:00-9:00 am daily and lunch will be served from 11:00-12:00 daily. Regular prices apply, free and reduced programs will be honored.

Contacting the School
The front office will be available by phone 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and open for walk-in traffic during these same hours. Students needing to drop off missing work from 3rd Term can do so in the office and we will get it to the teacher.

Copied Packets
Photo Copied Packets are available for those that NEED them because they don’t have WiFi internet access. We feel that the online option is much better and is what we recommend due to the ability to enhance lessons and the ease of submitting homework. That being said, we know there are some situations where paper and pencil will be required. Those packets will be available for pick-up tomorrow between 11:00 and 3:00 p.m. (this is a change from previous communication) Please respond to the survey letting us know you need the packets or call in to let us know. After tomorrow, packet pick up will be every Monday between 11:00 and 3:00 p.m. Students should turn in the previous week’s assignments when they pick up the new packet each Monday.

As you already know, conditions change quickly and I will continue to email parents and students to relay relevant information.

Thanks again and STAY SAFE,
Mr. Nate Whitney
