Our advanced orchestra and band groups took a Christmas tour of our local elementaries this week.  Our amazing students were able to perform for: Mapleton, Maple Ridge, Hobble Creek and Sage Creek Elementarys.  Each group performed Christmas songs with the highlight being a sing along that featured both the band and orchestra playing a medley of songs while the elementary students sang at the top of their lungs!  It was a great day!  Thank you for all time students donated to help bring a special assembly to our local elementary students.

Our band classes recently had their Christmas concert at Mapleton High School.  The concert brought in so many people that they virtually filled the entire auditorium!  All present were able to enjoy 10 different presentations that ranged from beginning to advanced groups. Thank you for all the support from family and friends!

Dear Students and Parents,

Reminder - End of Second Term

Did you realize there are only six school days left in this term after Christmas Break?  Please check with teachers to get any missing work gathered, completed and turned in. The holiday break provides extra time if needed, to make up school work that could help raise a grade. Take advantage of the opportunity!

Way to Go Mustangs! - MJHS Annual Fundraiser Was a Great Success

Congratulations to our awesome students - together we raised almost $3000 that will now go toward several different causes. First, it will be used to fund our Sub for Santa project - Gifts and goodies are purchased for local kids so they can have a Christmas that they might not have had otherwise. Second, the funds are used to purchase blankets and activities packs for kids at the hospital - Thank you for your amazing support of this MJHS holiday tradition!

Mustang Message 12/9/19

Dear Students and Parents,

Thanks Awesome PTO

MJHS has some amazing volunteers!  We want to thank the PTO and the wonderful parents that helped to feed our teachers and staff last week on a long day of Student Led Conferences Thursday, December 5th.  The teachers and staff enjoyed a delicious and filling meal and we want to thank all of those involved in making that happen.

Just TWO weeks until the Holidays - Let’s get those grades up

Remember our goal of having all grades Cs and above before the holidays - If you have any grade below a C please get with your teachers and visit with them about any work that needs to be turned in or re-done in order to show that you have learned the material at a higher level to bring your grades up!

Come Be a Substitute Teacher at MJHS!

Parents: If you are willing to help us, we do have a real need for substitute teachers. So far this year, we have had many sub requests go unfilled. We are asking for local patrons of MJHS to help fill in. So that you are aware, subs are able to choose the location(s) where they are willing to sub - meaning if you only want to sub for MJHS you can. You are also able to choose your days of availability, with no minimum commitment per month when arranged by MJHS with Kelly Services. If you are willing to apply to be a substitute teacher, please visit the Utah Kelly Educational Staffing webpage at http://www.kesutah.appone.com or call our awesome secretary, Theresa Carey here at MJHS to get more information about helping us out as a substitute teacher.
