2013 MJHS Golf Team

The 2013 MJHS Golf Team had a very fun and productive year. Each and every single one of the 8 golfers that were on the team added great character to the team and played very well. The golf team had five regular season tournaments. In these tournaments the MJHS Golf team competed against the six other junior high schools in the Nebo School District. These tournaments were held every week. The courses that we played rotated every week between Hobble Creek Golf Course, Spanish Oaks Golf Course, and Gladstan Golf Course. The MJHS Golf Team won two of these regular season tournaments as a team. Individually, Hanslee Peay took first place in the season’s first tournament at Spanish Oaks, Jared Roach took first place in the season’s second tournament at Hobble Creek.
The last tournament of the year, the Nebo School District Golf Tournament, we had a great showing by Ethan Spilker, Ty Eriksson, Tanner Edmonds, and Cole Porter. All four boys played very well and had a team score of 268 and won by 23 shots. The MJHS Golf Team won the tournament and was crowned the 2013 District Champions. Ty Eriksson took first place overall, Tanner Edmonds took second placed overall, and Cole Porter tied for 5th place. Great job to everyone on the 2013 Golf Team, and a big congratulations!
